Forget the stock Pro-Ject Audio tonearmcable. As Matthias Böde told - use it only for a function test... You can go for an upgrade Pro-Ject cable for less than 100 Euro and will achieve a big sound bonus.
The Silent Wire 150 Euro tonearmcable worked like a revolution - a must everybody thought and still affordable. Surprisingly the 700 Euro Silent Wire tonearmcable made a big step further! Remember the Ortofon cartridge has half price - so most learned cables for low-power phono signals are extra important!
In my opinion for top notch analogue setup everybody should use direct top cabling - so a straight-through cable to the phonostage for best results - no loss due to additional connectors - like shown in Reed 3P tonearm.
