Personally i must confess both belong to same elite sound class. Both working Matthias Boede switched quickly between both pickups - almost the same record synchronously scanned. It was not an easy task to be sure which we listened at the moment. The arc of tension in music had similar authority - so both pickups managed my main examination with complete success.
The DS-Audio system sounded very straight and right, the wellknown Benz LP S had a bit warmer, fuller sound, more fluid - some would call it more musically. On the Benz bonus side is the option to choose several phonoamplifiers with different characters. Of course same option works for other top pickups too - not used in the workshop.
